Nanyang Technological University (NTU)

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is one of Singapore’s top public research universities, known globally for its strong focus on engineering, technology, and innovation. Located at 50 Nanyang Avenue in western Singapore, near Jurong West, NTU sits on a sprawling 200-hectare garden campus, making it the largest university campus in the country.

History & Background

NTU’s roots date back to 1981, when the Singapore government established the Nanyang Technological Institute (NTI) to meet the country’s growing demand for engineers during industrial expansion.

Since then, NTU has grown rapidly into a world-class institution, consistently ranked among the top universities globally.

NTU has a vibrant population of about 37,000 students, including both undergraduate and postgraduate learners.
It is highly international, with students from over 100 nationalities, making it a diverse and multicultural campus.
The university also employs thousands of academic and administrative staff, creating a dynamic academic ecosystem.
