Every year, Gardens by the Bay transforms its iconic Flower Dome into a breathtaking sea of colours during its much-anticipated Tulipmania exhibition. Returning for its 12th edition in 2026, Tulipmania once again brings the beauty of spring from Europe to tropical Singapore, allowing visitors to experience thousands of vibrant tulips without leaving the country.

Held from 24 April to 17 May 2026, the exhibition runs for about three and a half weeks inside the Flower Dome, welcoming visitors daily from 9am to 9pm. This year’s edition takes inspiration from the Netherlands’ rich artistic heritage, featuring floral landscapes inspired by famous Dutch Masters such as Rembrandt, Johannes Vermeer, Vincent van Gogh, and Piet Mondrian.
Visitors can expect an impressive showcase of tulips in a dazzling range of colours, shapes, and varieties. While the exact number of tulip cultivars changes yearly, Tulipmania traditionally features dozens of tulip varieties imported specially for the event. These tulips are mainly sourced from the Netherlands, a country internationally famous for its tulip farms and centuries-old tulip-growing traditions. The cool climate of Holland allows tulips to bloom beautifully before being carefully transported to Singapore for display.
Spread across the massive Flower Dome — one of the world’s largest glass greenhouses — the exhibition covers a huge floral landscape filled with artistic installations, European-inspired scenery, and colourful flower beds. The Flower Dome itself sits within a gigantic conservatory space covering approximately 1.28 hectares, or about 137,000 square feet, creating a truly immersive floral experience for visitors. Thousands upon thousands of tulips are carefully arranged throughout the exhibition, creating stunning photo opportunities at every corner.
Beyond their beauty, tulips also carry deep symbolic meanings. Tulips are often associated with love, elegance, hope, and new beginnings. Different colours of tulips represent different emotions — red symbolises deep love and passion, yellow represents happiness and friendship, while white tulips signify purity and forgiveness. Interestingly, tulips were once so valuable during the famous “Tulip Mania” period in 17th-century Holland that they became one of the world’s earliest economic bubbles, where rare tulip bulbs were traded at extremely high prices. Today, Tulipmania at Gardens by the Bay pays tribute not only to the beauty of these flowers, but also to the fascinating history and culture behind them.
