Step into the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay and suddenly, Singapore feels like it has been transported into a colourful rainforest celebration. Orchid Extravaganza 2026 is back, and this year’s edition blooms with a strong Indonesian flavour, combining orchids, traditional architecture, woven art and cultural storytelling into one very photo-worthy floral journey.

The theme for this year’s display is “Rhythm of the Rainforest”, spotlighting the rich heritage and biodiversity of Indonesia. According to Gardens by the Bay, the exhibition features more than 7,000 orchids, including native species and varieties, and celebrates the diversity across eight regions of Indonesia.
From the moment visitors enter, the display feels more than just a flower show. Bright orchids in purple, white, yellow, orange and pink surround traditional structures, Balinese-style gates, woven sculptures and rustic village-inspired settings. The red and yellow ceremonial umbrellas, thatched huts, bamboo details and tropical greenery make the whole place feel like a living postcard from Southeast Asia.
One of the most eye-catching highlights is the use of anyaman, the traditional Indonesian art of weaving plant materials. Larger-than-life woven sculptures made with coconut leaves and bamboo appear throughout the Flower Dome, adding a handcrafted cultural touch to the floral display. Gardens by the Bay also highlights recreations of traditional Sumbanese houses with their dramatic roofs, as well as Balinese Meru towers and cultural motifs inspired by Toba Batak patterns and ikat designs.
Flower lovers can also look out for featured orchids such as the Moon orchid, Ground orchid and Tiger orchid. The Moon orchid is one of Indonesia’s national flowers, while the Tiger orchid is known as the world’s largest orchid species.
The exhibition runs from 3 July to 10 August 2026, from 9am to 9pm, at the Flower Dome. Admission to the Flower Dome applies.
