At first glance, this place looks just like Changi Airport — complete with departure gates, immigration counters, flight-information screens and a comfortable waiting area. But everything seems quieter, less crowded and slightly smaller. So, where are we?

Welcome to Seletar Airport!
Unlike the busy terminals at Changi, Seletar Airport offers a much calmer experience. The terminal feels almost like an airport lounge, with sofas, armchairs, greenery and large windows overlooking the surrounding landscape. Visitors can sit down for a meal at Mr Teh Tarik Express, which serves local halal food and beverages, or grab drinks and snacks from the surrounding vending machines.

There is even a CoffeeBot preparing drinks automatically, massage chairs for tired travellers and an automated currency-exchange kiosk that looks like a giant vending machine. Free Wi-Fi is also available within the terminal.

Where Can You Fly From Here?
For regular scheduled passenger services, Seletar Airport currently handles Firefly flights between Singapore and Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, Kuala Lumpur. The airport’s flight information for 1 July 2026 shows several Firefly departures to Subang throughout the day.
Subang Airport is especially convenient for travellers heading towards central Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya and the surrounding areas. Other aircraft seen at Seletar may be private jets, chartered flights, training aircraft or planes arriving for maintenance, so their destinations will vary.
Taylor Swift Landed Here Too!
Here is an interesting piece of celebrity history: Taylor Swift arrived at Seletar Airport on 27 February 2024, ahead of her six sold-out Eras Tour concerts in Singapore.
Her chartered Bombardier Global 6000 flew in from Sydney and touched down at approximately 5.05pm. Around 40 fans reportedly gathered near the airport, hoping to catch a glimpse of the superstar before she was driven away.
Why Does Singapore Need Another Airport?
Singapore does not actually have “four big airports” at Changi — Changi is one airport with four passenger terminals. Seletar Airport serves a very different purpose.
It is Singapore’s main civil airport for business aviation, private jets, international charters, training flights and aircraft undergoing maintenance, repair and overhaul. It also supports the many aviation companies operating inside Seletar Aerospace Park. By handling smaller aircraft and specialised aviation activities here, Changi can concentrate on larger commercial passenger flights.

Built in 1929, Seletar Airport is also much older than Changi. Today, it remains a fascinating little airport that many Singaporeans may not even realise they can find right in the northern part of the island.
Address: 21 Seletar Aerospace Road 1, Singapore 797405.
Nearest MRT: Sengkang MRT Station (NE16), followed by Bus 102 to Seletar Airport.
